Founded in February 2022 and previously known as Canadian Live Line International, GESS was established to address the critical demand for specialized services in the Energy Live Line Industry and Construction across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe. As global electricity demand surges, our mission is to modernize outdated infrastructure and meet the industry’s evolving needs. With many countries facing an aging workforce and the impending retirement of experienced professionals, our team of experts, with decades of combined experience, is dedicated to ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems worldwide.
GESS was founded by Mr. Travis Martyn, who started his career in 1990 as an apprentice powerline lineman and started working in Management as a Operations and Construction manager in 2011. His passion for sharing his expertise led him to transition to Powerline Technician Training and Apprentice Consulting, earning his certification as a Certified Registered Professional Trainer from The Canadian Professional Trainers Association in 1998.

In 2020, Travis expanded his influence by joining Mitsa International as a trainer for the Middle East, achieving successful engagements in Oman, UAE, and Kuwait. His commitment to safety and excellence inspired the creation of GESS in 2022. Today, GESS offers top-tier consulting and training services to clients across the US, Canada, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.
In 2024, Travis reached another milestone by forming a strategic partnership with PBCS-G and Mr. Igor Grosaft, former Supervisory Board member of Slovenske Elektrarne. This collaboration aims to focus on Eastern European markets, particularly the reconstruction of Ukraine's electricity grid – a monumental task that will span the next decade.
